A podcast shining a light on photographers and their journey as image makers
This is Photo Country with Rajeev, a podcast on photographers and their photography. It is a peak into their journey as image makers. It started off as a radio show at a community radio station in my neighbourhood. Then covid struck and everything closed down! So, I converted it into a podcast and kept it going. It’s been quite a journey. I primarily do it because I love photography. People listening to it is a bonus really! Photography and podcasting are the twin passions in my life.
The last two episodes were great fun to put together.
Matt Herring is an amazing mixed media artist from London. I am a big fan of his work. He is one of my inspirations to take up mixed media work again after a long time.
Valentine reached out to me and gave great feedback on a previous interview that I had done with Parag Gopale. Incidentally, both of them had gone to the same photography school in Paris. So, I promptly invited her onto the podcast! Of course, her work is outstanding - great captures of life on the streets. Very layered like Vivien Mayer.
Do have a listen to the episodes and tell me what you think! The reason I got on to Substack was to engage with my listeners and have a conversation. I hope I did not disappoint!
